Built-in Types

  ASN.1 has built-in types that are simple and structured. Structured types are composed of component types, each of which is a simple or structured type. A user-defined type is composed of simple and structured types. ASN.1 also has another category of types called useful, which provide standard definitions for a small number of commonly used types.
